This original painting was inspired by one of my favorite spots in the Chicago Botanic Garden. It's created on maple cradle board and primed with ground for oil which I am able to add texture into before I even begin to paint. It was accepted into the 35th Northern National Art Competition at the Nicolet Gallery in Rhinelander, WI by juror/judge Robert Kanyusik who managed to choose 101 pieces of art out of the 646 entries.

Painting is currently available at the Nicolet Gallery. Please contact them directly if interested in the original while on exhibit.
